A DUI arrest may be made when a driver’s Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) is above .08% (commercial vehicle driver – .04%, under 21 years of age – 0.00%).
◊DUI – Driving Under the Influence of an intoxicating liquor (alcohol) or drugs
◊DWI – Driving While Intoxicated: driving with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of 0.08% or greater within two hours of driving
◊EXTREME DWI – Driving with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.15% or greater within two hours of driving.
◊SUPER EXTREME DWI – Driving with a BAC of 0.20% or greater within two hours of driving.
